term paper writing manuals
Writing a research paper is a lot easier on you, the student, when you set yourself certain goals. All of this takes place before you start the research and the writing. The saying goes that if you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail. So rather than rushing in to begin writing your research paper, stop, take stock of the situation and list your goals. Here are a few possible specific goals.
Have you been called to write a research paper recently? No doubt you’re looking for the easiest format to use in order to avoid too many complications and room for error. Take a look at the following format which is the standard for most college and university research papers.
The beginning sections of your research paper will consist of:
The statement is the beginning part of your research paper body. Here you will tell the reader what your presupposition is. You will assure the reader that in the following paragraphs, you will show clearly that your statement is accurate. This is usually the shortest section of the research paper, but don’t neglect it. You can point out previous research that has made you come to your conclusion, but ultimately, you want to use your own evidence to nail the pint in.
The second part of your main body will be the methodology or process section of your research paper. Here all your interviews, surveys, and experiments will be documented. Make sure that throughout this process, you keep your main topic and statement in mind. Veering off is easier than you think, so don’t fall into that trap.
The final part of your research paper will consist of a section dedicated to discussing the results of your process. You should use this section to establish your statement in the mind of the reader by linking that statement to the evidence you provided. Results and implications should cross your page in this section.
Conclude your paper with a paragraph that settles the idea for the reader. Use different words to go over all the pertinent information once again. As an option, you can also suggest other topics of research that would strengthen your own argument.
Try and get used to this format for all future research papers. You can safely use it as your default format unless your teacher or professor has given you other directions.
